Every April park residents and guests enjoy an awesome opening day of fishing and a wonderful breakfast!!!

Egg/Sausage casserole is one of the traditional dishes at Norway Park’s Fishermen’s Breakfast served at the Pavillion.

Egg/Sausage Breakfast Dish

Description

8 eggs 

8 slices of fresh bread—Texas Toast or Egg Bread—with the crusts removed 

1 lb. pork sausage cooked and crumbled (Approx. 2 ½ cups) 

2 cups whole milk 

2 ½ cups grated cheddar cheese 

1 tsp. dry mustard 

Spray or grease a 9x13 pan. Cut bread into cubes and layer on the bottom. Mix milk, mustard and eggs in a mixer and pour over bread. Sprinkle pork sausage over, and top with cheese. Refrigerate 12 hours. Bake 35 minutes at 350 degree oven for a soufflé breakfast. The casserole is done when it is all puffy and brown and looking good. Serves 8.
